Matilda Dyer

Matilda Dyer has been living in one of the original Brownsville Nehemiah homes for over forty years. She currently serves as President of the Brownsville HOA, a role she inherited from her neighbor and mentor Carmelia Goffe, one of the original Nehemiah builders. As a legacy homeowner, Matilda has witnessed Nehemiah’s rise from a scrappy experiment to a sprawling project in need of constant stewardship. Attempting to work with newer homeowners and developers who are unaware of her neighborhood’s rich history, she is fighting to preserve Nehemiah for future generations.
